Sunshine Coast Christmas Lights

Free Community Christmas Event
14th - 24th December 2013 6.00pm - 9.30pm

Lifepointe Baptist Centre will again (for the tenth year in a row) conduct the Sunshine Coast Christmas Lights for the 10 days leading up to Christmas. Each night we will open our doors between 6.00pm to 9.30pm from Saturday 14th December to Monday 24th December inclusive.

Last year just over 25,000 people came through our doors to enjoy time together and being encouraged in wholesome family activities.

2013 “The Reason” is a project of the Church for the whole community. As well as the lights display that will be clearly visible from the Sunshine Motorway, a range of activities will be offered to further enhance the Christmas experience for both locals and visitors.

The Activities offered include:

• Two concerts each evening running for 30min each
• Carollers, buskers and general entertainment
• Recreation of Bethlehem by Night with live craft demonstrations
• Family orientated Food Court with plenty of seating
• Children's Animal Farm with opportunities to pet animals and have
photos taken in themed clothing
• A bustling Atrium filled with stalls selling candy and Christmas goodies
• An air conditioned café
• Central Christmas tree
• A Market Place
• Free fairy floss and popcorn
• Free balloon sculptures
• Children’s Playground
• Jumping Castles
• Participant in the Sunshine Coast Daily Christmas Lights Tour

Our aim is to emphasize the Christmas message by enhancing the Christmas Lights Display, which began in 2004. It is our intention to join with our local community on the Sunshine Coast and to reinforce the family values and the true meaning of Christmas at this time of year.

Our nightly concerts are the centrepiece of the Christmas Lights Display and are a unique and entertaining event with many volunteers taking part to create an atmosphere of joy, and by "Light the World” we can encourage people and let them know that this message will give them hope.
